Region final 6:30 at Dixon
The NCHSAA 3-A Eastern Regional soccer championship between Chapel Hill and Jacksonville, tied 1-1 when play was suspended, is scheduled be finished tonight at Dixon High School. Play is to resume at 6:30 p.m. with overtime periods. The winner advances to Saturday's state 3-A championship match in Cary.
Dixon High is located south of Jacksonville in northern Holly Ridge, near the intersection of US Hwy 17 and NC Hwy 210.
The 2-A East championship, featuring Northwood vs. Swansboro, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. tonight at Croatan High with the winner advancing to play Shelby on Saturday in Cary.
