Avi Aggarwal, a senior at the N.C. School of Science and Mathematics in Durham, represented North Carolina in the 2012 Stockholm Junior Water Prize competition, a youth award for water-related science projects. She was selected for her project examining the Effect of Thiols on the Environmental Fate of Silver Nanoparticles. The competition was held June 14-16, in Boston, Mass.
