"As a follow-up to your article 'Chapel Hill, A Mushroom Mecca,' we wanted to share this photo we took of a fabulous mushroom that popped up in our yard in Chapel Hill last September. It started off unremarkable then 'mushroomed' into this huge bouquet a day or two later. Three days after this photo was taken, it shriveled up and disappeared. To give you an idea of its size, the silver ring in the middle is my wedding band!"
