"My elderly father recently flew all the way from North Dakota to North Carolina to visit my new home. One morning, he got up and said, 'Do you think I'd like to have a computer?' He's bright, but with only a sixth grade education, he'd never learned to type. Well, being a self-made man is still working for him. He spent time pecking away on my laptop and within a few days had bought a refurbished computer of his own. Now, in rural North Dakota, he e-mails Tokyo and looks up astronomy sites to watch the stars."
