Today's Best Shot comes from Meredith Costa.

"Here is a picture of grape tomatoes ripening on my back porch in Carrboro. About 2 months ago, I rescued seven tomato plants sprouting out in my gravel driveway weeks after my boyfriend spilled his salad in the dark and left the remnants there. The roots were growing laterally, so they were easy to transfer to pots. Now I have seven plants about 3 feet tall, and this particular red one was the first to ripen just the other day!"
