"Elizabeth Greenberg celebrated her 100th birthday on June 1. She was born in Grodno, Poland, which is now Belarus, and emigrated to the United States in November of 1916. She continues to retain her unique combination of elegance, beauty, and personal warmth along with unfailing good humor. Her memory is excellent. She has sharp recollections of life in New York in the '20's and '30's as well as Lancaster as it grew from a small town in Amish country to a thriving city."
