Righty-submariner Trevor Marbry had a stellar rookie season as a reliever for the Rockingham Community College baseball team. A freshman who played three seasons for David Miller at Chapel Hill High School, Marbry finished the season with a 0.80 ERA, lowest in Region X of the NJCAA. In 18 appearances and 26.1 innings pitched, he struck out 22 batters. Marbry was awarded RCC's 2007 Performance in Pitching Award. "Trevor was our go-to guy. He was our clutch performer. He always got the job done," said RCC coach Scott Cates. Off the field, Marbry maintained a 3.2 GPA in the classroom. This summer, Marbry will pitch for Durham Post 7.
