The annual yard sale to benefit the Chapel Hill Senior Center is coming up and resident are encouraged to donate items to sell.The sale will be Sept. 9 from 8 a.m. until noon at the Chapel Hill Senior Center. Donated items may be taken to the senior center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from now until Sept. 8. To volunteer for any part of the project -- before or during the sale -- leave your name and phone number at the front desk and someone will give you a call. Sept. 8 -- The annual Carolina Christmas Show will have more than 300 exhibitors, entertainment, foods, music, holiday items and handcrafted items. The cost is $5.50, payable at the door. We will tour the home, once owned by Joel Lane and the birthplace of President Andrew Jackson. Cost of both tours is $5 and will be collected on the bus.
