Three members of the Orange County Pop Warner Tar Heels earned first-team All-American Regional Scholar recognition at the N.C. Pop Warner annual tribute April 6 in Winston-Salem: football players Bennett Byerley, Nicholas Schultz and Dan Wittekind.

Registration for Orange County Pop Warner football and cheer teams begins June 1 (at Cane Creek Baptist Activities Center on Orange Grove Road). The regular season begins Aug. 1 ends in mid-November. All OCPW teams are formed and filled on first-come, first-served basis.
