May is almost here, so it is time for the annual May Day Celebration at the Hargraves Center. This year's event will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the theme is "Swing Into Spring." People have a special "window" to sign up for Medicare three months before their 65th birthday, the month of their birthday, through three months after their birthday. Medicare enrollment should be done even if someone continues to work. There are a lot of other decisions that need to be made during this period -- which can be very confusing. Sunday Afternoons at the Seymour Center, formally known as Distinguished Artist Series, will finish this series on May 18 at 3 p.m. with a concert by the East Chapel Hill High School Jazz Combo.
