Toys fill a window display at the PTA Thrift Shop at Village Plaza on Elliott Road in Chapel Hill. The PTA Thrift Shop regularly holds an auction to benefit the Orange County Schools. The next auction will feature toys.

Toys old and new are the theme for this month's PTA Thrift Shop front window auction at Village Plaza on Elliott Road. The auction runs through Aug. 23. Customers can bid as often as they like until the end of the auction. To place a bid on an item come to the Plaza store.

The Thrift Shop distributes profits to the Chapel Hill-Carrboro PTAs. The Carrboro store, at 103 Jones Ferry Road, is open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. The Chapel Hill store at 103 S. Elliott Road in Village Plaza is open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.

The Donation Center, also at Village Plaza in the former location of Masse Lounge, is behind the laundry and is open Wednesday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call 417-0553 to arrange a truck pickup of large items.
