Mary Elizabeth Davis Wagoner of Chapel Hill and Fernando Notario Rocha of Seville, Spain, were married Aug. 9 at the Chapel of the Cross in Chapel Hill.
The Rev. Stephen Elkins-Williams performed the double-ring ceremony, assisted by The Venerable Dr. William H. Joyner.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Joel M. Wagoner of Chapel Hill. She is a 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is pursuing her certification as a Spanish/English translator.
The groom is the son of Jose Luis Notario Saenz and Maria del Carmen Rocha Maqueda of Seville, Spain. He is a graduate of the College of Biological Sciences at the University of Cordoba in Cordoba, Spain, and is currently employed by The Torrealba School in Almodovar del Rio, Spain.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Matron of honor was Nancy Sylvester Wagoner, sister-in-law of the bride, of Wilmington. Maid of honor was Caroline Anderson of Charlotte.
Bridesmaids were Mary Carroll Alexander and Laura Anderson of Raleigh; Martina Bill of San Francisco; Emily Dawson of Orleans, Mass.; Sarah Goglin of Charlotte; Michele Lynch of Clemmons; Tanya Stadukhina of Cary; Carlson Merritt and Larkin Merritt, cousins of the bride, of Madison, Ga.; and Elena Notario Rocha, Luisa Notario Rocha and Reyes Notario Rocha, sisters of the groom, of Seville, Spain.
Best man was Javier Notario Rocha, brother of the groom, of Seville. Groomsmen were Jose Notario Rocha, brother of the groom, of Seville; David Cercas Rueda, Inigo Leon Navarro, Ignacio Loring Lasarte and Jose Joaquin Sainz de la Maza Ramirez, brothers-in-law of the groom, of Seville; Jose Carlos Gonzalez Martin of Palma del Rio, Spain; Javier Martinez Abolafia of Cordoba, Spain; Ignacio de Olmedo Gordillo and Luis de Olmedo Gordillo, of Seville; Andrew J. Wagoner, brother of the bride, of Chapel Hill; J. Merritt Wagoner, brother of the bride, of Wilmington; and Thomas E. DuPree III and Charles W. Merritt III, cousins of the bride, of Madison, Ga.
Following a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Cordoba, Spain.
