The Town of Chapel Hill's Hargraves Center, 216 N. Roberson St., will host an annual health fair that will offer free dental screenings, blood pressure checks, and other health service information on April 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Professionals from the UNC School of Dentistry and School of Medicine and Orange County Health Department will offer health screenings and wellness checks and provide information.
Activities and games will be provided for children. There will be visits from UNC football and basketball players, who will sign autographs and play games. Food and prizes will be provided for all participants.
"Health on the Block" is an annual free event held by NC Health Careers Access Program Ambassadors, an organization of UNC that aims to increase the number of underrepresented populations in the various healthcare professions. The program also works to provides health care and service to underserved communities.
