The 19th annual Haw River Clean-Up-A-Thon will be held Saturday at locations along the Haw River. Volunteers will remove trash that threatens wildlife and water quality. Last year several hundred volunteers collected more than 580 bags of trash and nearly 200 tires along 60 miles of the Haw River. Volunteers of all ages are welcome; children need adult supervision. Call 542-5790 or e-mail info@hawriver.org.
