Martha Clyde

Richard Andersen

Martha Elizabeth Clyde and Richard Christopher Andersen were married March 28, 2009, at Olin T. Binkley Baptist Church in Chapel Hill. The Rev. W. Dale Osborne officiated at the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Wallace A. Clyde Jr. and Barbara Clyde of Chapel Hill. She is a graduate of Chapel Hill High School, attended East Carolina University with a music scholarship and graduated from Pitt Community College with an associate's degree in secretarial science. She is a document specialist with Eisai Corporation in Research Triangle Park.

The groom is the son of Herbert and Terri Andersen of Cary. He is a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical School in Danbury, Conn., with a degree in industrial electronics. He is a customer service engineer with Diebold Incorporated in Raleigh.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Wallace Clyde.

Maid of honor was the bride's daughter, Alexandra McGlohon of Black Mountain.

Matron of honor was Martha Yow, a friend of the bride, of High Point.

Flower girl was the bride's granddaughter, Kaylee McAbee of Black Mountain.

Best man was the groom's brother, John Andersen of Cary.

Groomsman and usher was the groom's brother, Bill Andersen of Chapel Hill.

Music was provided by church organist Bo Lloyd, pianist Bill Andersen and vocalists John Andersen, Chris Patty-Weaver and Jarrad Williams.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by Bill and Leslie Andersen at their home in Chapel Hill.

A reception was hosted by the bride and groom in the Binkley Church Fellowship Hall.

Following a wedding trip to Topsail Island, the couple will live in Knightdale.
