We've told you our view on this issue. Now we want to know what you think. Send a comment of 75 words or less, with the subject line "Agree or Disagree" to Dave Hart, associate editor, at dhart@nando.com. We'll print your responses here next week.

Two weeks ago we said bike lanes and sidewalks on Smith Level Road are necessary, even if it means also accepting the additional travel lanes the Department of Transportation wants to build. Here's one reader's response:

"NO, to the proposed dangerous 3/10-mile four-lane "divided highway to nowhere" on Smith Level Road from BPW to our elementary school. You can't see the school kids at the bottom of the hill as you enter this higher speed highway from the southern mostly two-lane DOT-proposed section. How dangerous! DOT agreed to building less lanes for this controversial section if Carrboro maintains it. I agree. Schools and highways don't mix!"
