PICKUP SOCCER -- Chapel Hill High School will host pickup soccer games for teens every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the summer at the CHHS fields. You don't have to be on a team or attend Chapel Hill High to participate. All games will be supervised by a soccer coach, and CHHS will supply field cones, bibs, water, balls and injury ice. GOVERNORS' GOLF -- The Governors Club, located south of Chapel Hill off Mt. Carmel Church Road, will host a qualifier for the CGA's Carolina Amateur today and will host the new U.S. Kids Golf Tournament will be held Aug. 11. Both events are free and open to the public to attend as spectators.

GODIVA TRACK -- Godiva's popular Summer Track Series gets underway at 7 p.m., rain or shine, every Wednesday through Aug. 5 at UNC's Belk Track in Chapel Hill. Those who complete 36 events over the 12-week series earn the coveted Godiva Ironman award. The events are free, but a $1 donation is appreciated.

EAST HOOPS -- The 14th annual "Hoops at East" Summer Basketball Academy has announced dates for this summers' two sessions: July 6-10 and July 20-24, operating 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. each day at East Chapel Hill High School, under the supervision of certified coaches. Hoops at East is a full day camp open to all students who will be entering grades 3-9 this fall. BOUNCING BULLDOGS -- Camps teach rope-jumping skills: July 6-10, July 13-17, Aug. 3-7, Aug.10-14 and Aug.17-21; a three-day session will be held, and a four-day (Tuesday-Friday) camp will be held June 30-July 3. 4-Cs BASKETBALL -- for boys advancing next fall into grades 5-6-7 will be held July 6-10, from 9 a.m. to noon daily, at the Smith Middle School Gymnasium. The cost is $90 per camper, with a deposit of $30 required at registration. A camp T-shirt is included in the price of registration. POP WARNER -- Walkup registration for Orange County Pop Warner football and cheerleading or youth ages 5-12. can be done in person July 12 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Cane Creek Baptist Activities Center, located at 6717 Orange Grove Road. SKIPSATIONS! JUMP ROPE -- The Skipsations will offer three more summer camps at McDougle Elementary School's gym for boys and girls, ages 5-14. Camp weeks are July 13-17, July 20-24 and Aug. 10-13. Camp hours are 8:30-11:30 a.m. The fee is $165 for the June and July camps, $132 for the August camp. Registration information is available at www.skipsations.org.

JAGUAR FOOTBALL -- Carrboro High School football will offer a youth camp from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 20-23, open to youth ages 8-13. The cost is $85, and the fee will cover the cost of a camp T-shirt, awards and drinks. For more information contact coach Jason Tudryn 918-2200, ext. 25049.
