Twice a year, the rolling hills of Chatham County come alive with music, dance, art and more at the Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance. This year's fall festival takes place Thursday through Sunday at Shakori Hills, 1439 Henderson Tanyard Road, about 20 minutes west-southwest of Chapel Hill. More than 50 musical acts will grace four stages. Also on the schedule: dance, movement ,music and craft workshops; massage and other healing arts, fire dancing, mask-making and tons and tons of things for kids to do. You can camp on the site or come and go. Four-day and single-day tickets are available. All the goods are at www.shakorihills.org.
