Noteworthy: North Carolina has bounced back from its midseason struggles to become bowl eligible for the second straight season. Now the Tar Heels have to go on the road for their final two games to determine where they'll end up in the postseason. ... The Heels have won three straight games since blowing a big second-half lead in a home loss to Florida State last month. That streak includes a road win at ranked Virginia Tech and Saturday's 33-24 win against then-No. 12 Miami, giving North Carolina five straight wins against ranked opponents. ... Carolina has won both games with BC since the Eagles joined the ACC in 2005 ... The Eagles' last win in the series came in the 2004 Meineke Car Care Bowl, where BC scored a 37-23 victory at Charlotte...

Players to watch: North Carolina CB Kendric Burney had three interceptions, including two that resulted in touchdowns, in the win over Miami ... Boston College Dave Shinskie threw for one TD and ran for another in last week's win at Virginia. ... UNC QB T.J. Yates finished 17-for-31 for 213 yards against Miami, his third 200-yard passing game this year. He tossed a 29-yard strike to WR Greg Little for his 35th career TD pass, a mark good for second in UNC history with Chris Keldorf. ... BC LB Luke Kuechly recorded seven tackles in the first half last Saturday to break the school record for tackles by a true freshman. He ended the half with 101.
