The Orange County Artists Guild held its annual Open Studio Tour a few weeks ago. Now it's time for art lovers to turn their sights south a bit, because the Chatham County Artists Guild will hold its 17th annual Chatham Studio Tour this weekend and next. More than 50 of the area's finest artists, scattered all over Chatham County, will welcome visitors into their workplaces Saturday and Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday at Dec. 13 from noon to 5 p.m. A reception will be held Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Central Carolina Community College in Pittsboro. A preview exhibit of participating artists' work is on display at The ArtsCenter, 300-G E. Main St., Carrboro, through Dec. 15. It's all free; you can find information, tour maps, galleries of participating artists' work and more at www.chathamstudiotour.com.
