This year's big winner, with eight awards, is Mina's Studio. Co-owner Louann Doran said she and her partner, Alejandra Scott, are honored that their customers think so highly of the business. Many voters complimented Mina's 30-person staff for being "just terrific people" who care how you look and about your experience. One customer said people are still raving about her new hairstyle six months later. Doran, who has worked at Mina's Studio for 16 years and owned it for seven years, said she thinks the success of any business is built on "attention to detail and good communication" with the customer. Mina's Studio provides a lot more than hair care, like skin care and waxing; spa, nail and bridal services - even an on-site barista. Appointments can be scheduled by phone or online.
