Today's Best Shot comes from Maureen Robinett of Chapel Hill: "As I opened the door to take out the garbage last night I spotted this lithe creature out of the corner of my eye. Closing the door hastily, I ran to the kitchen window to take these shots. I watched it move very slowly for well over an hour; finally, it made its way back to the top of the light fixture, where it settled in for the evening. This morning it was gone. Sadly, I've not seen wing nor feather of the adorable wrens who had built their nest in that spot, nor of their eggs."
