"Healing With a Feeling: A Night of Burnin' Love," a fundraising concert and silent auction to benefit the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center, will be held Saturday, June 25, at the Cat's Cradle, 300 E. Main St., Carrboro.

The family and friends of Kim Anderson initiated this event to thank the Burn Center following Anderson's four months of treatment after being critically injured in a house fire in March 2010. The Anderson family, with the help of their musical friends, will recognize the incredible staff and the world-renowned quality care provided by the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center.

Four bands - The BilliTones, Rebecca and The Hi-Tones, South Wing, and The Willie Painter Band, plus surprise guests - will play from 8 pm until midnight. Admission is $15 per person. Burn Center staff, local firefighters and EMTs are invited to attend for free. A silent auction will begin at 7 p.m.

With the money raised, the Andersons plan to establish a fund to provide sun-protection clothing for Burn Center patients upon discharge.

Information and advance tickets are available at 621-7260, jayceeburncenterevent.com.
