Today's Best Shot comes from Jack Benjamin of Chapel Hill: "I took this image when out in a boat with my granddaughter Virginia (age 6) last week. She spotted the heron on a large dock with many slips - all were empty. We looked at the heron for awhile then saw it suddenly dive down between the slats of the dock and come up with a fish."
