If you're a pet owner in Orange County you will now find licensing your cats and dogs easier than ever.
Pet owners may license their pets online whether they are licensing a new pet or renewing a previous license. They may also edit information about themselves (e.g., their address) or their dog or cat (e.g., spayed or neutered).
All dogs and cats 4 months of age or older living in Orange County must be licensed within 30 days of being acquired. To qualify for the lower fee available to the owner of spayed and neutered pets, provide a copy of your pet's rabies and spay/neuter certificate.
This is the second new online service made available this year. It is also now possible to donate money online for general care or toward a community spay and neuter fund. Donations of commonly used items are also accepted and can be ordered from manufacturers and sent directly to the Animal Services Center.
Orange County Animal Services is pleased to make these online services available and hopes that online licensing will make renewing pet licenses and registering new pets more convenient and accessible. Visit us at www.co.orange.nc.us/animalservices
