I wholeheartedly support James Barrett for Chapel Hill-Carrboro School Board. He's a great candidate, and I especially appreciate his emphasis not only on closing the achievement gap, but on focusing on growth for every child, and putting an end to the pitting of groups against one another in the district.

Too often we portray parents who advocate for their children as being elitist or unconcerned with all the other children in our district. James intends to put an end to that - and reduce the need for such advocacy in the first place. He's thoroughly prepared, knows the issues, and has listened to the stories of many parents from many backgrounds. Please join me in voting for James Barrett for School Board.
