Arlene Devon, 73, of Carrboro, SC passed away Friday, December 2, 2011, at Hillcrest Home, surrounded by family. She was born in Chicago, Il, the daughter of the late Richard and Loretta Nitsche. Surviviing are he children, Dan (MaryLou) Devon of Aurora, IL, Mike (Kathy)Devon of Greenville, SC, David (Laura)Devon of Chapel Hill, NC, and Jolene (Dan) McDonald and 11 grandchildren. She spent the majority of her life in Chicago, but then moved to Chapel Hill in 1999 to retire and be closer to family. Her years living at Carolina Springs were very happy because of all her wonderful friends she made there. Also a special thank you to the staff at Hillcrest Convalence Home for her loving care she received. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
