Dugout will improve Jaguars' baseball faclity
To the Editor:
After a nearly two-year process, the Carrboro High School baseball team finally received a permit to build its batting cage last week. There are several people that we would like to thank for their help in this process. Thanks to Bill Mullin and Bill Kelley with the Facilities/Grounds Department at Lincoln Center. Thanks to Jeff Kleaveland and Marty Roupe with the Planning Department, Rick Wade with the Inspections Department, and Fire Marshall Rob Maddry, all with the Town of Carrboro. These gentlemen work long and hard to see that this permit became a reality.Special thanks to Phil West for overseeing this project, to Todd Clark for his electrical expertise, and to Precision Turfscape for their irrigation work.We believe that this project will improve the quality of the student-athlete experience for CHS baseball and softball players. It is being built without public monies, relying solely on fundraising efforts by the CHS baseball team.If you would like to help, please contact Nat Tyndall at natunc@aol.com.Nat TyndallHead Coach, CHS Baseball
