Clothing Donations

Clothing donations for the collective art installation, "Up Close and Personal," will be accepted at the Robert and Pearl Seymour Center, 2551 Homestead Road. Recording sessions of the memories of donated garments will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. People donating clothing can share the story of their clothes and the stories will become part of the installation.

Lecture Event

Dr. Trita Parsi, a Middle East foreign policy expert with extensive Capitol Hill and United Nations experience, will discuss the previously unknown story of American and Iranian negotiations during Obama's early years as president, the calculations behind the two nations' dealings, and the real reasons for their stalemate in her lecture "A Single Roll of Dice" from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Nelson Mandela Auditorium at the FedEx Glocal Education Center.

Read-a-thon Night

Frank Porter Graham Elementary School will hold its 14th annual Read-a-thon Night, "Go Wild for Reading," from 6 to 8 p.m. at 101 Smith Level Road.
