The Carolina Inn, 211 Pittsboro St., will host a Shrimp-n-Grits Throwdown featuring local chefs from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 25.
Top chefs from Tyler's, Top of the Hill, Glasshalfull, Elaine's on Franklin, Vimala's Curry Blossom, Carolina Crossroads and Il Palio will whip up their best interpretations of the classic Southern dish. A panel of judges will determine the winner, and the audience will vote for the Fan Favorite.A portion of the proceeds will go the TABLE, which serves local children at risk of hunger.
