Boy Scout Troop 39 of Chapel Hill will sponsor the fourth annual Touch a Truck fundraiser today from noon to 4 p.m. at the University Mall parking lot on South Estes Drive.
Touch a Truck is a hands-on family event that provides a unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types fire and rescue trucks, police cars, tow trucks, bulldozers and helicopters in a safe, supervised environment. The event will also feature a Kids Zone featuring bouncy houses, an obstacle course, kid-friendly food and face painting.
Proceeds will benefit the North Carolina Childrens Hospitals Promise Grant program and Troop 39s community service projects and activities.
Admission is $5 per person, with a maximum of $20 per family. Children younger than 2 will be admitted at no charge.
