Spring has sprung, and that means it’s time for Shakori Hills.

The April version of the Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance (there’s another one in October) takes places Thursday through Sunday on the rolling hills of Chatham County, about a 30-minute drive southwest of Chapel Hill. Dozens and dozens of live acts will perform, and you’ll also find art, dance, food, workshops, parades, kids’ activities, camping ... well, it’s a long list.

You can go for a day or buy a weekend pass.
