Amelia Tauchen Marguet, 28, of San Francisco, CA passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012. She is survived by her husband Philippe Marguet of San Francisco; her parents George and Helen Tauchen of Chapel Hill, NC; her brother Robert Tauchen and his wife Christine Ghio Tauchen of Richmond, VA; her grandmothers Ethel Tauchen of Sun City West, AZ and Louise Veith of Monett, MO; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Amelia’s family and friends will always treasure their memories of her wonderful laugh, her fun and caring personality, and her kind and generous nature.
Amelia was born June 18, 1983 in Chapel Hill, NC and attended Chapel Hill schools. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her law degree from Duke University. She was an attorney at Gibson Dunn in Palo Alto, CA.
A service celebrating Amelia’s life will be held on Saturday, March 31, 3:30 pm at the Doris Duke Center in the Duke University Gardens, Durham, NC. Amelia volunteered for many charitable organizations, most notably the National Parkinson Foundation in honor of her uncle Robert J. Tauchen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Foundation at PO Box 5018 Hagerstown, MD 21741 (
