Garden Party to benefit Hillsborough’s Burwell School

•  Registration is open for Chatham Habitat for Humanity’s third annual Chatham 3RingCycle, set for 8:30 a.m. May 12 at the Central Carolina Community College campus in Pittsboro. The bicycle ride features 30-, 60-, and 100-mile loops. Registration for adults is $40; $45 for walk-on registration. Registration for ages 16-18 is $30; $35 walk-on. •  Chapel Hill High School is trying to raise $7,000 for the book room in the renovated Carrboro Thrift Shop. Anyone wishing to donate should see indiegogo.com/Chapel-Hill-High-School.

•  Chatham Animal Rescue and Education will host the 9th annual Bash and Auction to Benefit Cats and Dogs in Need, from 5 to 8 p.m. May 20 at Shady Wagon Farm, 2312 Pea Ridge Road, New Hill.

•  The North Carolina Botanical Garden will hold its inaugural Carolina Moonlight Gala from 6:30 to 11 p.m. June 2 at the Garden’s Education Building and surrounding gardens. Hors d’eouvres and drink, live music and dancing, silent auction and more. All proceeds will support the Garden’s programs in conservation, horticulture and education. Auction will begin online on May 19.

Tickets are $125.

The Historic Hillsborough Commission will hold the 12th annual Spring Garden Party & Auction from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. May 11 at the Burwell School Historic Site, 319 N. Churton St., Hillsborough.

The event will feature silent and live auctions, raffles, food and drink. All proceeds support the Burwell School’s programming and operations.

Tickets are $35, availabe at the door or in advance at the Burwell School Historic Site.
