Memorial Day Events

The American Legion will hold Memorial Day events 8 a.m.-2 p.m., beginning with a memorial service by the local Veterans of Foreign Wars C.V. Cummings Chapel Hill Post 9100 at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery. Post events will follow with an open house at 10 a.m. and memorial service at 11 at 1714 Legion Road. Yoga Class

A yoga class for beginners, those in treatment for cancer, a caregiver or cancer survivor, is held Mondays 11 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. by the UNC Comprehensive Cancer Support Program at Carolina Pointe II, 6011 Farrington Road. Cost is $5 per session. unclineberger.org.

Breastfeeding Group

Breastfeeding Cafe, an informal drop-in gathering of breastfeeding moms, is held every Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Red Hen, University Mall, 201 South Estes Drive.

Memorial Day Ceremony

The annual Memorial Day commemoration will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Carrboro Town Commons. There will be music, readings and poetry, including the Raging Grannies, Orange Correctional Center Vocal Trio and Sacrificial Poets. Robert Lee Campbell will speak. 919-419-1261, 919-929-3316.

Restorative Yoga
