Hillsborough police are seeking any information from the public about the location of a woman suspected of stealing purses while women shopped.

Police are trying to locate Tisha Marie Childress, age 28. She was believed to be in the Durham area when police issued their release on the morning of Tuesday, June 5. She is wanted for stealing purses from women while they shopped at Walmart Supercenter in Hillsborough.

Warrants have been issued for larceny from a person, financial card theft and obtaining property by false pretense.

Anyone who has any information about the suspect’s location is asked to contact Sgt. Scott Nicolaysen of Criminal Investigations at 919-732-9381, ext 30.
