JAGUAR FOOTBALL CAMP : Coach Jason Tudryn’s fourth annual Carrboro Football Youth Camp will run July 16-19 on the high school’s campus at 200 Rock Haven Road. CARRBORO PITCH: The Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department will host pitching classes this fall for youth ages 9-12, featuring former CHHS, UNC-Greensboro and Double-A leaguer Pat Currin. He will offer baseball instruction — 3-4 p.m. on Saturday afternoons, Sept. 10 through Oct. 15 — on the fundamentals of pitching, with a focus on developing individual skills and throwing strikes with consistency. HILLTOPPER LACROSSE is now accepting registrations for its competitive lacrosse league, created to fill the void between the high school lacrosse season and the many important summer camps and tournaments in June and July. Under the direction of Hilltopper Director and Coach Franklin Zirkle, the league will feature a Lambs Division (grades 7 and 8) and Rams Division (through high school). Wednesday night sessions will continue through June 6. The league ends right as summer camps and tournaments begin. It costs (plus one penny that the players keep with them at each game.)
