Vittoria Alessandra Longiotti of Chapel Hill and Michael James Ciampa of Jacksonville, NC, were married on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at six o’clock at the Chapel Hill Country Club in Chapel Hill, NC. Reverend Woody Massey officiated the double-ring ceremony. Following the wedding ceremony a reception hosted by the bride’s parents was held at the Chapel Hill Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Sam and Susan Longiotti of Chapel Hill. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Frances Hughes Medlin of Chapel Hill, the late Mr. Ernest Medlin and the late Nazzareno and Immaculata Sbrocchi of Roseta Valfortore, Foggia, Italy. The bride is a graduate of Cary Academy and Meredith College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. She is employed with Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Susan Allen Ciampa of Jacksonville, NC and the late U. S. Marine Corps Lt. Colonel Joseph Francis Ciampa. He is the grandson of the late U. S. Army Colonel Robert Allen and Mrs. Jean Brennan Allen formerly of Petersburg, Virginia and the late U. S. Marine Corps Chief Warrant Officer 4 Angelo Ciampa and the late Mrs. Fillippa Calia Ciampa of Fallbrook, California. Mr. Ciampa is a graduate of Richlands High School and holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Criminology from Mount Olive College. He is employed as an investigator with the State of North Carolina.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her parents. Meghan Longiotti-Horne, sister of the bride of Chapel Hill attended as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Caroline Jackson of Raleigh and Miss Nina Haydon of Wake Forest.
The groom had as best man, his friend, Matthew Schrier of Fuquay-Varina, NC. His brothers, Robert Angelo (Bobby) Ciampa of Richmond, Virginia and Joseph Francis Ciampa, Jr., of Durham, NC served as groomsmen.
Mr. and Mrs. Ciampa are enjoying a honeymoon cruise to Alaska.
