CHAPEL HILL - A firefighter was slightly injured as the Chapel Hill Fire Department battled a house fire at 114 Pinoak Court Sunday night.

The firefighter was treated and released for smoke inhalation, said Public Information Officer Lisa Edwards. All the residents escaped the house unharmed.

Chapel Hill dispatched six engines, one ladder truck and 20 firefighters at 11:22 p.m. Sunday. One engine and five firefighters from the New Hope Fire Department also responded.

The crews found heavy fire in the attic. They brought the blaze under control within 90 minutes. Fire damage was limited to the attic are. Property loss was estimated at $150,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
