Woodsrock to benefit charter students

•  Super Cooper’s Rockin’ Run and Family Fun Festival will start at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, in Southern Village. The event will feature a fun run and 5k race, live music by Skinny Bag of Sugar, food trucks, games and a live auction.

Proceeds benefit Super Cooper’s Little Red Wagon Foundation, which provides housing and support for families affected by brain tumors.

•  Chapel Hill High School students, parents and teachers will present the inaugural Tiger CHill Festival from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 (rain date 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16) in the school parking lot near the football stadium.

The event will feature games, activities, live music, food vendors, arts and crafts, and more.

Proceeds will support Chapel Hill High’s school clubs, teams, bands and organizations.

Tickets will be available at the door.

•  The 4th annual BBQ for Babies presented by the Duke Intensive Care Nursery Family Advisory Board will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Teer Farm, 7729 Kepley Road, Chapel Hill.

The event will include dinner and dessert, music, raffle, activities and more.

Tickets are $10 per person.

Woods Charter School will present Woodsrock, a fundraising festival, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the school, 160 Woodland Grove Lane.

The event will feature live music by area groups as well as the school’s faculty band, plus a host of activities for families and children.

Proceeds go to transportation needs for students.

Tickets are $5 for individuals, $15 per family. Children under 5 are admitted free.
