Meghan Caroline Gay of Chapel Hill was named to the Dean’s List and to the Chancellor’s List at Appalachian State University. She is a senior majoring in technical photography and a 2009 graduate of Chapel Hill High School.

Louis Vaught, a 2011 graduate of Carrboro High, successfully completed the requirements to practice well contracting in North Carolina and has been issued a Level-C certification. He is also the 2012 recipient of the N.C. Ground Water Association Worth Pickard Scholarship. Vaught is a sophomore at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind.

• Cornucopia Cancer Support Center has hired
Robin L. Kellogg as its new director of development. Kellogg will work with President and CEO Mary Lawrence to develop and direct sustainable fundraising efforts for Cornucopia. Kellogg has eight years of professional development and fundraising experience. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree in informatics from the State University of New York in Buffalo. She also has fundraising certificates from Canisius College and Benevon.
