Tony Messer, chief operating officer for Chatham County Schools, has been awarded the Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations certification by the Association for School Business Officials International.
In order to earn the certification, individuals must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing an exam that tests competency in accounting and school business management topics; having a certain amount of work experience and education; and adhering to the ASBOI Certification Code of Conduct. Program participants also commit to ongoing professional development.
