The Steep Canyon Rangers, whose 2011 album with Steve Martin, “Rare Bird Alert,” was nominated for a Grammy Award, will take the stage Friday at the Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance in Chatham County. The Rangers are just one of dozens of performers lined up for the fall festival, which runs Thursday through Sunday at Shakori Hills, 1439 Henderson Tanyard Road, Silk Hope. As always, the festival also features crafts, food, children’s activities, workshops and more. shakorihillsgrassroots.org
