Stan Giddens, 59, died August 26th and is survived by his wife, Dr. Lynn Giddens; son, Devin Giddens; brothers, Scott Herman-Giddens (Supatra) of Chapel Hill and Craig Giddens of Maine; sisters, Candace Giddens of LA. and Brooke Zimmerman (Pete) of MS. Stan graduated from Norwich University. History (his major) remained a passion, as did running. Stan was an avid supporter of www.joshshopefoundation.org where a memorial fund is set up. Stan's last desire was to run a final marathon with Devin. A Celebration of Life memorial will be held November 10th at the Outer Banks Marathon.
