HILLSBOROUGH - Hundreds of people lined downtown Hillsborough on Saturday for the annual Handmade Parade sponsored by the Hillsborough Arts Council.
The parade is a walking theatrical performance meant to bring the community together in a creative, non-political way. This year the parade was part of an all-day Fresh Roots Festival, featuring music, readings, art exhibits and more throughout the town.
