SundayVeterans Day 5K Fun Run and One-Mile WalkCarolina Campus Recreation will hold a 5K fun run and one-mile walk at 10 a.m. at the Rams Head Plaza. Registration begins at 9 a.m. There will be refreshments, prizes and giveaways. Proceeds will benefit the Durham Rescue Mission. Bring canned goods or nonperishable food items to donate.
Southern Village 5K and Family Fun RunThe ninth annual Southern Village 5K and Family Fun Run will begin at 2 p.m. at 400 Market Street, Suite 115. The family fun run will begin at 3:30 p.m. Registration is from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Cost is $30 for the 5K and $10 for the family fun run. Proceeds will benefit the Chapel Hill Service League.
