Zumba for a cure

The Orange County Sportsplex set the backdrop for the Zumbathon Charity Event on Oct. 27, raising nearly $1,000 for Susan G.Koman for the Cure. “Movin’ to End Breast Cancer” was the theme for the Party in Pink. Donations were strictly voluntary. The event garnered so much enthusiasm the Party in Pink will take place again next year.

Meantime, instructors plan to host another Zumbathon in December to raise money for the Toys-for-Tots foundation.

The date and time for that event will be announced at a later date.

The Orange County Sportsplex is located at 101 Meadowland Drive in Hillsborough.

For more information about the programs offered at the Sportsplex, please call 919-644-0339.
