Kehillah Chanukah Party

Kehillah Synagogue will hold a Chanukah party from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1200 Mason Farm Road. The Religious School Players and Skipsations will perform. There will be lunch, Chanukah songs, a gift fair with local vendors, candle lighting and children’s games. Southern Village Holiday Craft and Gift Market

A holiday craft and gift market will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at Aberdeen Drive at Market Street in Southern Village. There will be over 20 local vendors selling hand-crafted items. Visitors should bring canned goods and other nonperishable food items to donate to PORCH. southernvillage.com/events.

Holiday Bazaar

The Triangle Medical Spouse Alliance will hold its annual holiday bazaar from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the N.C. Children’s Hospital lobby. More than 50 vendors will participate. All proceeds will benefit the N.C. Children’s Hospital.

Footnotes Tap Ensemble

The professional nonprofit adult tap company, Footnotes, presents “Nine Ladies Tapping and A Guy,” a lively evening of music, rhythm and tap, at 7 p.m. at the Carolina Inn, 211 Pittsboro St. 919-918-2715, carolinainn.com/twelvedays-events.php.

Holiday Concert

A Christmas Carol

The Burwell School Historic Site and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church will hold its annual performance of “A Christmas Carol” at 7:30 p.m. at 210 St. Mary’s Road, Hillsborough. Tickets are $15. Proceeds will benefit the Burwell School Historic Site, the Orange County Cultural Center and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church. 919-732-7451.

High School Bands Holiday Concert

The East Chapel Hill High School Music Department will present their bands’ holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. The Phillips Middle School eighth grade band will also perform at the concert.

Cameron Ave. Accompanied by harp, strings, flutes, organ and percussion, “Sing Noël” will feature the joyous choruses and solos from two celebrated French choral works, “Messe de Minuit Pour Noël” by Baroque composer Marc-Antoine Charpentier and the “Christmas Oratorio” by late-Romantic composer, Charles-Camille Saint-Saëns. Toys-for-Tots Toy Chest

The 2012 Toys-for-Tots Toy Chest will be collecting toys from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Monday, Dec. 17, at the Department of Social Services, 113 Mayo St., Hillsborough. Toy donations are needed for kids ranging in age from infants to 18-years-old.

Pet Pictures with Santa

As a part of its annual “Home for the Holidays” campaign, Orange County Animal Services will take pet pictures with Santa from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1601 Eubanks Road. Cost is four or more cans of donated food to the canned pet food drive. orangecountync.gov/animalservices.

Outdoor Holiday Concert

A free outdoor holiday concert performed by artists associated with the Gathering Church’s album, “Christmas Nights” will be at 6 p.m. in the Memorial Garden at University Baptist Church, 100 S.
