Margott Vivian Fair, 73, of Cary died at her home peacefully on Saturday, December 22, 2012. Formerly of Chapel Hill, Ms. Fair was born in Pottstown, PA on May 12, 1939 to Charles Andrew Schmearer and Olive Petch Schmearer. Ms. Fair recently retired from Bayer Crop Science (formerly Rhone Poulenc) in the Research Triangle Park after 25 plus years of service. She recently moved to Cary and was a resident at Carolina Preserve.
She is survived by her sons: Jason Fair and his wife, Kelly of Richmond, VA; and Christopher Fair and his wife, Maria of Marietta, GA; daughter: Melissa Lee and husband, David of Oak Ridge, NC; grandchildren: Connor, Emily, Megan, Caitlin, Lily, Mollie, Davis, Ryan, and Justin. She is also survived by the father of her children: Regis Fair of Flower Mound, TX. She is also survived by her dear friends at Carolina Preserve in Cary, NC.
A memorial mass will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 27, 2012 at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church, 804 High House Rd, Cary, NC 27513. A private burial will be held in Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery, Chapel Hill, NC.
