Chapel Hill police reported Tuesday that a missing 17-year-old has been found.

Michael Wayne Wilson was last seen leaving his Indian Springs Road home around 3:30 p.m. Jan. 13.

Wilson contacted a family member this week and was returned home safely, police spokesman Sgt. Joshua Mecimore said. Police do not know where Wilson was for the last nine days, he said.
